Related experiences include expert witness testimony in lawsuits related to gas explosions, fires and gas appliance failures. The Utility Notification Center of Colorado, UNCC, is a non-profit organization providing one-call underground facility location services to homeowners, contractors or anyone digging for any reason.  UNCC is dedicated to the safety of the general public and the prevention of damage to underground utilities by excavation activities.

Duties include directing the compliance testing of gas fired appliances to ANSI Z21 standards; conducting special projects and studies relating to the safe utilization of natural gas; analyzing and testing gas fired appliances involved in field failures; developing policies, standards and technical training as applied to the utilization of natural gas and the installation and service of gas appliances; and testing the quality of the natural gas delivered to the system.
