In 1972, CABO was established by BOCA, ICBO and SBCCI to compile and standardize the code requirements published by BOCA, ICBO and SBCCI.

Formation of International Code Council, Inc. (ICC)

 

ICC was organized on December 9, 1994 as successor to CABO. ICC is an umbrella organization consisting of BOCA, ICBO and SBCCI. ICC’s goal is to complete an entire set of comprehensive and coordinated International model codes.
